Not so Wordless Wednesday: Sheffield's expecting a new addition

Fetty
Before the tongues start waggin', we're talking about a horse here.  Lol.  Of course, if you are on my sister's facebook, you might be one of the ones stalking her page.  It's about the equivalent of the giraffe story right about now.  We've been making bets daily on whether each day would be the day for the past week.  And Lord knows, Fetty's poor belly just about can't get any lower to the ground.  I hope today is the day, though.

So, I am no horse person.  After getting thrown off of Valiant, a horse my dad got me at 5, I was out of the horse business.  But while I may not share in my sister's horse enthusiasm...I am SO excited for this new foal.

See, Ol' Fetty has an interesting story.  She is completely blind.  In fact, she has had both eyes removed, after an abscess in one, and an ulcer in the other.  She has a companion horse, Bunny.  And it's sweet to see how protective the other horses are of her.  And Fetty has such a sweet spirit.  I hope this foal takes after her sweet disposition.

However, bless Fetty's sweet heart, she is surely making us wait.  Her official due date was March 5th.  Rheba had expected the new foal to be born on the 7th, based on the moon chart.  And still, at the time of me penning this, still no baby.

Meanwhile, the Sheffield girls are about to burst with anticipation (as are Rheba's followers)...and still, we wait...
