Hen Parties

Last year, we started a monthly tradition of having a hen party. Well, to those of you who may not quite understand that phrase, it’s just a little get together for women to gab, and eat, and carry on.

Every month, a handful of us gather at Mrs. Pegi’s house to make cards. Cynthia Kay, who has the patience of Job, shows us how to make 5 or 6 greeting cards; we eat; we gossip; and most importantly, we laugh.

I enjoy my time with these ladies immensely. We always walk away with beautiful cards; but really, we leave our “hen parties” with joyful souls.
