Happy 4th of July, y'all!
I love everything patriotic. I have since I was a very little girl. I proudly don Red, White, and Blue frequently, and can often be seen wearing my little flag pin. I love this country, and I love this land. And that patriotism and sense of pride rises above politics and differing views.
I also wanted to mention...As I was driving into Cedar Key on Saturday night, my heart beamed with pride at our community. Something that the town of Cedar Key does every year is: they have signs, bearing the names of the local boys serving in our military with flags, aligning the road. As we passed by, and I recognized one of the names, I made my mom turn around so I could snap a picture.
Today, I am thankful for this great nation. Made up of revolutionaries, free-thinkers, dreamers, and overcomers. Today, I am thankful for the men and women who have fought for our freedom. Today, I am thankful.
I wanted to share with y'all a card that my mom recently made. I love it! |
