Maple Street Biscuit Company

Something that i've grown quite accustomed to lately is having my Friday off.  What's extra nice is, I generally get to tag along on lunches with Mom and Aunt Jean.  I love my time spent with them.

This past Friday, we went off on a little adventure...one we may not revisit.  We went to Maple Street Biscuit Company in Gainesville. The set up was a little different than what we're used to.  Frankly, part of the problem may have solely been that it was Veterans' Day and everyone was off work.  It seemed like the hub for all of the University students.  We stood in a long line to order, then we stood by the side counter for nearly 30 minutes, waiting on our food.  Poor Aunt Jean sat outside in the cool air waiting on us.

Don't get me wrong, the food was good. The company was wonderful.  The staff were so very sweet.  And it might be worth trying it again on a less busy day.  As a side note, they serve Cheerwine there. Which was definitely a positive.  Also, their macaroni and cheese is wonderful (it has a cheeze-it crust on top).
