Sunday Obsession: October

Happy October, y'all!!!! To say I'm excited would be putting it MILDLY.

We've all seen the memes about the "Typical White Girl" in regards to the Fall. I must admit...I am a Typical White Girl, I would like everything pumpkin-spiced, please.

But honestly, I LOVE the Fall. I love the color burnt orange. I love the changing leaves. I love pumpkin. I love a pumpkin patch. I love "Sweater Weather," although somewhat a rarity because #Florida. I love Halloween. I love scarves and boots…and all other Fall attire. I love football games…not because I like football, but I like to socialize at Football games. I love donning College football colors (again, I have no interest in any of the teams…but I like to dress up nonetheless.) I love the crispness in the air….I could go on and on.

But every year, I'm surprised at the things that I enjoy doing really only in the Fall. I'm not a huge HGTVer. Now, I enjoy Fixer Upper, and House Hunters, and can handle watching it throughout the year…but honestly, when Fall comes, I actively WANT to watch HGTV. No idea why the change in season strikes me so, but it does…every year.

Along with that, every Fall, I WANT to go out and buy homegoods. We don't need any more clutter in our house, but this is a must every Fall.

I no longer enjoy baking like I once did. But in the Fall, moreso than any other time of year, I long to bake. Something just gets me in the spirit.

Now that I think about it…has there ever been a study done with the Fall and nesting?? This is kind of creeping me out. Lol.

Regardless, I think no one said it better than F. Scott Fitzgerald:
